On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, God called to his eternal rest Reverend Henry Penner of Winkler, MB formerly of Plum Coulee at the age of 79 years. Henry is lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Trudy, and children, Henry (Esther) Penner, David (Mary) Penner, Helena (John) Wiebe, Anna (Abe) Teichroeb, Willie (Helen) Penner, Frank (Diana) Penner and Andrew (Marianne) Penner and their families. He was predeceased by four grandchildren in infancy.

The funeral service was on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at the Winkler Reinland Mennonite Church with interment at the Church Cemetery in Schanzenfeld.

Henry was one of the longest serving board members of Faith Mission dating back to the early nineties, he has made several trips to Germany and Ukraine on behalf of Ukraine. He has influenced many decisions in the organization over the years with his deep, thoughtful insight and he will be dearly missed by us all in the mission. He has spent countless hours volunteering for Faith Mission in many facets and was never scared to get his hands dirty doing the Lord's work.

If friends so desire, donations may be made in Henry's memory to Faith Mission.

REACHING OUT

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me". Matthew 25:40

Faith Mission is affiliated with Missionswerk FriedensBote in Germany and independently run by a Canadian board of directors. The ministry is supported by freewill offerings and donations from concerned individuals and businesses.

Volunteers sort and bale used clothing and care for many other aspects of the ministry. Guests and volunteer workers are always welcome to visit our warehouse and participate in our baling sessions.

For more details, contact the Faith Mission office or any of the board members. For a firsthand view of the work of Faith Mission in the country of Ukraine, we encourage you to request information about our slide presentations and videos.

CHRISTMAS GIFT BOXES

Faith Mission also sends Christmas Gift Boxes to Ukraine. These gifts bring a lot of Christmas joy to many less fortunate families. We have requested that most of the Faith Mission Gift Boxes should be distributed in Orphanages and in the villages where the need is the greatest.

The Gift Box ministry is another wonderful tool that the churches can use to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and the wonderful Salvation story, beginning with the Birth of Christ.

Some years ago we had a problem getting enough shoe boxes, so we decided to print our own gift boxes. This has made it easier for more people to pack a box or for groups to pack a quantity of boxes. We have a good supply on hand.

Give a Gift of Hope — pack a Faith Mission Gift Box for an orphan or needy child in Ukraine this year.
